The Youth Commission requires a commitment of at least 10 hours a month including public meetings, workgroup/commission meetings, and time to move projects, campaigns and initiatives forward. Applicant Must Agree With All of the Following Conditions:

1. I live or attend school in Marin County.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;2. I am between the ages of 12-23.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;3. I am able to attend at least four meetings per month between August 2025 and June 2026 as well as one-off meetings until the end of your term as a commissioner.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;4. The information provided in this application is accurate and I have made every attempt to answer all questions truthfully and to the fullest extent possible.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;5. I am available to attend the commission meetings on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. (Tentatively, subject to change) &#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;6. I have reviewed the application and the required dates for the 2025-2026 Youth Commissioner terms and understand that all events and commission meetings as well as a minimum of 10 hours a month involvement are MANDATORY. (Transportation and accommodations will be provided.)&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;7. I have also discussed or will discuss the time commitment with my parents or legal guardian, teachers, sport coaches, employer and other activity programs, and can make a serious time commitment given my responsibilities.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;8. I understand that I will be given the dates of the Swear-in Ceremony and Social Justice Orientation at the time of my interview and will need to be present on those dates. I also understand that there may be additional days of training—and that all of these days are required.
