This application serves to request both Measure B (2024 County Library Special Tax Contiguous Exemption) and Measures K & L (1994 Contiguous Exemptions
Apply by 06/01/2026 for Current tax Fiscal Year

(Measure B) - To qualify for a contiguous exemption of the $100.94 Measure B parcel tax, any parcel of land, developed or undeveloped, wholly or partially located within the Marin County Free Library District, for which the County Assessor of Marin County has assigned an assessor's identification number, provided that any such parcels which are contiguous, used solely for owner-occupied single family residential purposes and held under identical ownership, may upon approval of this application, be treated as a single parcel for purposes of this special tax.

(Measures K & L) To qualify for a contiguous exemption of the $36 parcel tax, any parcel of land, developed or undeveloped, wholly or partially located within the Special Tax Zone No. 2 of the Marin County Free Library District and the Town of Corte Madera, for which the County Assessor of Marin County has assigned an assessor's identification number, provided that any such parcels which are contiguous, used solely for owner-occupied single family residential purposes and held under identical ownership, may upon approval of this application, be treated as a single parcel for the purposes of this special tax. NOTE - There is no $36 Contiguous Parcel Exemption available for FFX/W.Marin Library Zone #1 area.

An application must be filed on or before June 1, 2026, regardless of an approved County Assessor's Parcel Combination. Failure to file in time will result in rejection of your application for exemption unless good cause can be shown for failure to timely file.
